Mother and Child Diary - Privacy Policy

Plain-language summary: Pregnancy and child-care records are primarily stored on your phone. GEOPOLY DIGITAL LLP does not receive those records through an app account or health-record server. Information leaves the app when you deliberately share a report, use a phone call/link, or when a separately identified third-party service such as Google Mobile Ads processes its own technical data.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how the Mother and Child Diary Android application handles information. It applies to the app distributed by GEOPOLY DIGITAL LLP and should be read together with the in-app Terms and Conditions.

2. Information you enter

Depending on the features you use, the app may store:

Mother's profile details, pregnancy dates, expected delivery date, blood group, height, weight, pregnancy history and optional government Mother ID.
An optional profile photo selected by you.
Medicine, appointment, delivery, abortion, postnatal-care and breastfeeding records.
Child details, growth measurements and vaccination records.
Doctor, MLHP, ANM, ASHA and other medical-contact names or phone numbers that you choose to save.
Language, appearance and reminder preferences.

Please enter another person's information only when you have permission or another lawful basis to do so.

3. How information is used

The app uses saved information to calculate reference pregnancy weeks and dates, display records, schedule local notifications, show vaccination and PNC reminders, prepare reports, and provide the features you request. The app does not use these records to diagnose a condition or make automated medical decisions.

4. Storage and transmission

App records and saved contact details are primarily stored locally on your Android device. The current app does not require an account and does not upload your pregnancy or child-health record to a GEOPOLY DIGITAL LLP health-record server.

If you select Share Report, Android shows available sharing apps and the destination you choose may receive the report. That destination's own privacy policy then applies. Calling a saved contact or helpline sends the number to your phone/dialler service.

5. Profile photos

If you choose a profile photo, the app accesses only the item you select through Android's picker and saves an app copy on the device for display in your profile and reports. The app does not require general access to your entire photo library.

6. Notifications and device permissions

The app may request notification and exact-alarm permissions to deliver reminders. It receives a device restart signal so saved reminders can be scheduled again after reboot. Internet access supports web links and third-party services. You can change notification or alarm permissions in Android settings, but reminders may then be delayed or unavailable.

7. Google Mobile Ads

The app may display advertising through Google Mobile Ads. Google and its partners may process information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and app information, diagnostics, and ad interactions for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and related purposes. Pregnancy and child-care fields stored by this app are not intentionally supplied to Google Mobile Ads for advertising.

8. Sharing and sale

GEOPOLY DIGITAL LLP does not sell the pregnancy and child-care records you enter in the app. We do not share those locally stored records with a healthcare provider, government authority or advertiser unless you initiate sharing, disclosure is required by applicable law, or it is necessary to protect life and safety as legally permitted.

9. Retention and deletion

Local records remain on the device until you edit or delete them, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. You can delete all locally stored app information through Android Settings > Apps > Mother and Child Diary > Storage > Clear data, or by uninstalling the app. Shared copies must be deleted from the destination service separately.

Because the app has no user account or developer-operated health-record server, there is currently no separate online account-deletion process.

10. Security and backups

We use the Android application sandbox and platform storage controls. No method is completely secure, so protect the device with a screen lock and avoid sharing sensitive reports unnecessarily. Android or device-manufacturer backup features may back up app data according to your device and Google account settings.

11. Children and newborn records

The app is designed for use by pregnant women, mothers, adult family members and caregivers. It is not directed to children for independent use. An adult user is responsible for entering and managing a child's or newborn's information.

12. Medical and government disclaimer

The app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. It is independently provided by GEOPOLY DIGITAL LLP and is not operated by or officially affiliated with a government department, hospital, ambulance service or Tele-MANAS. Public helplines are provided for convenient reference.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when app features, third-party services or legal requirements change. The updated effective date will appear at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the app or store listing where appropriate.
